NRM opened its first store in Pittsburgh, PA in 1937, selling used music box records. By the 1980s, they had expanded to over 100 stores across the U.S., becoming the household name many of us remember today. Over the years, NRM moved from 78 RPM jukebox records, to vinyl, CDs, and even sold downloadable tracks on their website in their final years. National Record Mart closed its last store in 2002.
