This awesome vintage sweatshirt is for the 1980s TV sitcom, Sledge Hammer!. The show was a satirical take on the "edgy" cop character that was popular in TV dramas at the time. Sledge Hammer! followed the exploits of the San Francisco Police Department's Inspector Sledge Hammer whose main loves include violence, sports jackets, and his revolver. Hammer usually caught the bad guy, but only through the help of his partner Detective Dori Doreau.
The show only lasted for two seasons on ABC although it was relatively successful with critics. Its time slots were frequently shuffled around and, because of this, struggled in the ratings. With only 41 episodes, it's become a cult classic and it still airs on like MeTV and Decades.
